About this event

When a company grows from 20 to 200 people, the founders can no longer make every call. Decisions slow down, ownership blurs and disagreements move from the leadership meeting into the corridor. Runway burns in that gap.

The numbers are hard to ignore:

Harvard’s Noam Wasserman found that 65% of failures among high-potential startups come down to people problems, above all tension between co-founders.

In a McKinsey global survey, only 20% of executives say their organisation excels at decision making, and 61% say most of the time they spend on decisions is used ineffectively.

In CB Insights’ analysis of startup post-mortems, 23% of founders named “not the right team” as a reason they failed.

This hands-on masterclass is for founders, CEOs, C-suite leaders and VC operating partners at Seed to Series C. Sven Mulfinger and Vincent Azé of Kuma Partners facilitate leadership offsites and co-founder alignment work across Europe. They will spend 20 minutes on input and 40 with the room doing the work.

You will leave with:

Your own Days-to-Action number: how long your critical decisions take to turn into budget, hires or shipped product

One line of an Executive Decision Rights Compact for a decision that keeps bouncing between people

A private read on where you and your co-founder may disagree on equity, roadmap or commercial trade-offs

The session ends with a live hot seat. One volunteer brings a stalled decision and the room helps with questions only.

Chatham House rule applies. Bring a pen.
